What is the Phoenix Alliance?

The Phoenix Alliance is a group of people who have joined together to help stop fights in chat rooms. We don't consider ourselves any kind of "policing" group that gives themselves power, we just try and help. It first started out a few months ago when Neophoenix and Mara Phoenix met in Nintendo chat. At first it was a 2 person thing where they helped each other out, but Neo decided to make it bigger, so he recruited others that he asked to join.

The Alliance, from what Neo has said, is just like the "Guardians" in Nintendo chats, only for ICQ chats. If there's a fight, we try and do what we can to stop it. Some of us even have nukes, which are only used as a last resort. The rules statements below will tell you what to do if a member decides to abuse their power.

How to Join

To join the Alliance, you have to agree to these terms:

1. You have to be cool, level headed, and not easily angered.

2. If you have a nuke, you must agree not to use it out of anger. Nukes a re a privelage and are only used as last resorts.

3. Respect your fellow members, and the co founders Neophoenix and Mara Phoenix. They started this and they have the power to kick people out.

4. No letting friends or other people in without the consent of either Neophoenix or Mara Phoenix. If they want to join, they have to mail them and ask. We don't want hords of people running around chats saying they are members and thinking they can do whatever the heck they want.

Rules for Members:

1. This one is the most important. No nuking without the consent of the majority of your fellow members and the other people in the chat. Nuking out of anger or for any other reason without consent from the majority of chatters can result in being expelled from the Allaince. This counts for all, even the co founders.

2. No barging into chats thinking you can do whatever the heck you want just because you're a member. The Alliance is not a communist party, thus we don't act like it! If we hear anykind of this behavior from anyone at anytime, that person will be expelled immediately!

3. The co founders Neophoenix and Mara Phoenix hold the right to kick anyone out if they see fit.

4. If the co founders have to kick someone out, they must tell all members of their decision and listen to any objections. If there are enough objections, then the person they were going to kick out, won't be.

5. No keeping secrets of anyone abusing the privelage to be int he Alliance. If we find out that any one knew something of someone doing that, or was there and didn't report it, they have a high risk of being expelled as well.

6. Keep the peace, using as little extreme tactics as necessary.
